They should do this for the three point contest too. Ben Gordon has been asking to get in for years, and despite setting the record for most threes in the first five years of a career, he hasn't been able to find his way into the contest. He could just go dominate the shoot in and win the contest. (Although it would be great entertainment if Brian Scalabrine was also in the shoot in and won the shoot in, and then won the shoot out!).

I wanna see them do a fun event, kinda like HORSE last season. Like a 3pt shootout between Shaq and Kwame.

I remember when they used to do this. At the time they called it, The Dunk Contest.

In the early 90s and before there were eight guys or more. Then seven. Then six. Now just four.

The NBA could easily get rid of the pointless skills contest and NBA shoot-around and make the dunk contest twice as long.

that skills competition is a farce. i enjoy the three point shootout but the reason why ppl tune in is for the dunk competition. i have friends who dont watch a nba game all season (including playoffs) but they tune in for the dunk competition.

I understand the NBA probably wanted to lengthen the show and have other things going when the dunk contest started to fall off but the skills comp. and the WNBA/legends shootaround are awful.

They should bring back the old timers game.

They could have MJ, Stockton, Malone, Dream, Barkley, etc. in it.

I don't think Eric Gordon is any competition for Demar.

And aren't the two of them IN the rookie-sophomore game?!
