Avatar: Plot 4/10 Visuals: 10/10. Even though the story and acting aren't very good, the visuals are pretty much a must see in the theature. I have no idea how this movie was made.
The Great Escape -- 8/10 -- if this movie was released today it would be criticized for having an uneven tone, for being too long, and for making light of the war. In general I think it is so well regarded mostly due to the extraordinary cast--similar to The Dirty Dozen, released a few years later, and The Magnificent Seven, a few years earlier.
Hellbinders -- n/a -- couldn't get through more than 20mins. Word to the wise--if your movie has no budget, try not to use so many special effects. No special effect is better than a shitty one. They couldn't even get a gun blast right. Also, Hellbinder sounds like a possessed trapper keeper.
Lol, well, it was better than Daybreakers, so yes, favorite movie of the whopping two I've seen this year, dick, lol.
Book of Eli -- 9/10 This movie is just fantastic. I hate movies with a religious message so my rating is definitely saying something. Eli is a completely bad ass, the movie is superbly shot, and there were so many scenes that reminded me of Fallout. I highly recommend you see this movie, it topped Avatar for me.
My girl got sick, I didn't get to see it. I'll be catching it on Monday!!!! I love Denzel, especially when he works with Scott.
10/10 Book of Eli Awesome, i could see how some people would take jabs aat it because of its religious overtones, but being a christian, it made it even better
I'm definitely not a Christian and I found the movie fantastic. I just sort of omitted the religion parts.
The Book of Eli - 8/10 Denzel was fuckin' awesome. I loved how he even performed his own stunts, too. Didn't mind the religious tone, because it was a damn good movie. Can't wait for it to come out on blu. Plus, I want to face fuck Mila Kunis.
