Anyone else see that? One of the classic endings of all time. The Cavs were down 12 with less than 4 mins to play and LeBron personally shot the Cavs right back into the game and actually gave the Cavs a 6 point lead with 40 secs left. One of the great comebacks of all time? Well, it would've been if it wasn't for the fact that the Jazz came back and D-League call-up Sundiata Gaines hit a game winning three at the buzzer. What a turn of events! THe NBA. Where Amazing Happens.
According to this, there were two LeBron's. Not fair, and the Cavs still lost. http://www.nba.com/games/20100114/CLEUTA/gameinfo.html?ls=gt2hp0020900570
the kobe-esque shot from behind the backboard while falling out of bounds wasnt too bad either... after that a buzzer beater was lackluster
Yep, I watched the last 5 min of that game. I could see the strategy when the jazz/cavs kept on fouling each other under a minute of the game. The cavs just ended up missing more of their free throw shots and the Jazz made theirs. After the game, TNT showed the clip when Gaines was called up (by a utah official) when all of his fellow Stampede guys were standing around in the lobby of a gym. They all put their hands in the center of circle after the official announced that he was going to leave on a 5:30 or 5:45 pm flight to the game.
That was awesome. I watched about the last 8 minutes as well and it was pretty cool to watch it unfold. I hardly ever see a team come back when it turns into just fouling the other team and hoping they miss...but it actually did work this time. Gaines is also a great story.
LeBron ... 16 points in 3 minutes on 5 plays. Unreal. On his 4-pt play, I called that he would make the first, miss the second, and throw down a rebound dunk. I guess I wasn't thinking creatively enough for a 3-pointer off the rebound...
LaBron is on my fantasy team, so I was lovin that run he went on, but the NBDL kid hittin the game winning shot was sweet!
