Thats why you stay impartial to athletes, celebrities, because they are less perfect then the general public.

I have no idea about guilt or innocence, but if I were Evans, I would settle, pay the full 50k if needed, and keep this story from defining him in the public eye.

Guys I'm taking out that part of his post, and I'm deleting all the posts replying to it. Let's try to focus on the Evans story please.

I hate it when my friends shoot people when they are riding with me, I mean it's tough enough sometimes to get them to buckle up. :dunno:

I've heard that statistically it's just the opposite. Pro athletes are charged with fewer crimes, fewer violent crimes, and have lower rates of addiction to alcohol, etc... I don't know it for a fact, but I'd bet they get more speeding tickets.

That said I'm all for people not acting like athletes walk on water and making them out to be great heros of the community that represent me. I don't hope to have them over for dinner or to become their pal. I don't want them to sign anything for me. I just want to enjoy their performances.

Ooh man..... I've been holding this back for months (I have inside info) but I just can't help it anymore.

Blind item: Which one of the good boy Blazers was pulled over for texting while driving last year? If Sheed and ZBo had done it when he was here, it would've made the news, but nowadays they cover this stuff up.

He should be banned from the league and locked in prison. What a terrible person.

It happened in 2007. It has already been looked at by the authorities. I'm pretty sure he would win a lawsuit against the NBA if that were to happen.

Charged with fewer, and convicted of fewer.

Doesn't mean they aren't guilty of more, just that they've got pull, and money, and fan idolation.

    Like a certain anal-rapist Lakers player, like a certain wife-stabber ex-football star...

This seems to be an obvious pre-meditated murder in which Tyreke was the willing driver.

Apparently the prosecution was incompetent, lazy, or had no solid evidence other than what the murderer(s) told them, and probably got pressure to protect a local star, so they made a deal.

All 4 (it doesn't say what happened to the 2 non-famous punks) should get life in prison at the least, IMO.
