So they had this talk on Wheels at work. Assuming Roy sits for 4 games or so.

EDIT: I am assuming Miller is still the starting point guard.

I haven't seen Rudy lead us to a win over San Antonio on the road with Roy. I have seen Bayless do that.

nobody. It is a matter of everyone stepping up. A little extra from Miller, Bayless, Aldridge, Rudy, Webster is all needed to make up for no Roy.

He definitly will because he is a vet, but I expect Miller to get 18+ per game lately anyhow. That is pretty much how he "rolls" lately.

I think you have to ride the hot hand. Bayless, Marty, Rudy, LA, Miller . . . none of them can give us what Brandon does night in/out. But we've seen Miller play well more times than not recently, and the same for Marty. LA is . . . who the hell knows from night to night? Nate is going to have to do more in-game coaching than he normally does.

Bayless when it comes to bailing the team out in iso situations, Miller overall when it comes to actually running the offense and getting the team into the flow of the game. Rudy (if he's hitting) off the bench won't hurt either.

If the question is "Who starts in Roy's absence?", I go with Rudy. Gives both starting and reserve guard units one driver and one shooter, one PG and one SG, one 2nd-year guy and one vet. I'd probably give Bayless more minutes than Rudy (including most of the 4th), but I think I'd do so by bringing him off the bench, a la Nic & Travis last year.

I agree with this, if only because the team will hopefully be closer to being in the bonus later in quarters when Jerryd can really exploit his driving skill, and I think Rudy paired with Miller will be a nice combo (at least offensively) where Rudy is most comfortable cutting off of screens and catching and shooting the ball.

3 weeks? Sounds about right for a chronic hamstring injury that's more severe than just a strain.

I think Rudy is still coming back from his injury a bit. So I expect Bayless to start.

    Miller
    Bayless
    Webster
    LMA
    Howard
