No love for Brandon Roy in the All-Star Voting once again. Hopefully he'll be healthy for the game and do well like the past two years. http://www.nba.com/2010/allstar/2010/01/21/allstar.starters.release/index.html
No kidding. If McGrady makes the roster, even though I think he said he wouldn't play if voted, that will be worse to me. Paul, Nash, and Kobe are the only three guards I think are respectable enough to be on top of Roy.
I honestly don't understand the AI love. He was a great player, but he is a shadow of himself. He's not putting up numbers even close to All-Star worthy.
Iverson is one of the greatest scorers of all time. Naturally he is going to have a large fan base. It's more of a sign of loyalty from his fans than rewarding him for his play. Like when BRoy is done being a beast I will continue to vote for him. Not saying AI deserves the spot.
Plus I think a lot of Chinese people vote now that Yao is so popular. That's why Yi was so close to getting in last year. I'm sure when they are going through their ballots, many are probably just voting for who they know. AI has been famous.
What in the hell is up with Texas? Antonio McDyess gets more votes than Camby? Brooks over Roy? Scola's up there as is McGrady?
Same here. I was hoping that t-mac got voted in just so there could be a large enough collective groan for the rules to finally change. AI starting is bad enough, but not enough to warrant a change. Dammit.
