Jameer NelsonWeaknesses: His height will detract him from a lot of teams. As there has been a shift recently towards getting bigger, Nelson will find it hard to dominate games like he did in college. It will be much harder for him to create his own shot due to his lack of height?Had more turnovers than you?d like from your starting point, will need to make better decisions with the ball to become a starter at the next level?Needs to develop more consistency on his long range jumper? Will be asked to be more of a point guard rather than the big time scorer he was in college? Also the lack of competition in the Atlantic 10 may scare some teams away. Delonte WestWeakness: Although a shooting guard in college his height has caused most teams to question where he?ll play in the NBA ? At 6-3 with shoes he may be too small to play shooting guard and lacks freakishness to make up for it, or experience at point guard ? Doesn?t really do a good job of drawing fouls from opposing defenders ? Defensively he needs to improve upon his intensity ? Height will make him a post up target liability when having to guard opposing 2's ? Upper body strength could stand to be improved upon ? Not a bad ball handler but t needs to work on his ball protection as he is prone to turnovers ? No one would call him a freak athletically, although he can throw down some strong dunks ? Can at times get too comfortable with shooting from the perimeter instead of driving into the lane ? Amare StoudemireWeaknesses: Offensive game is still very raw. Because he is able to overpower everyone he faces, developing any perimeter game has been pointless. His handle and jumpshot must improve. Developing better moves around the basket. Tayshaun PrinceWeaknesses: Quickness is a concern. Still looks anemic. Needs a lot of strength. Josh HowardWeaknesses: His scoring ability is good but his outside shooting can improve. Not a great three point shooter, but he's good enough to keep a defender honest. He will need to develop better range to be a consistent scorer at the next level. Has good handle, but can get careless and must get better at protecting the ball. Howard's athleticism is not overwhelming and wont stand out on the next level. His first step isn't as quick as many NBA wing players. His overall speed is average. His feet aren't the quickest, making him a little slow with his lateral quickness. Has good leaping ability, but explosion on his jumps is average. Not as fluid an athlete as someone such as ex-Minnesota wing Quincy Lewis, however his intangables are much better.Charlie VillanuevaWeaknesses: A bit laid back at times, which leads to scoring in bunches and then going cold. Must understand that he will not always be the biggest and most athletic player on the floor. Strictly an inside talent, and could use some post development. Still soft at times, which leads to him being a weak interior defender. Not a great shot blocker, despite his athleticism and height. Needs to develop a killer instinct. Just interesting to see how players have proved scouts wrong and gotten better and past stereotypes.

The rest of Amare's game will develop, so that he can rely on it later in his career when he can no longer overpower everyone. For now he's doing just fine without a jumpshot. I also wouldn't say that Delonte isn't unathletic, they implied that he's below average athletically but I don't feel that that's the case at all.

He got a chance to show a little bit of it off in the rookie vs sophmore game. I think he plays pretty controlled so you don't always see it.

Any PG that can block like he does has to be athletic.

Josh Howards outside shot has improved immensley this season, and should only get better.I'm not sure why they say he only has average speed...above average at least.

I'd say he gets half of his points on jumpers. Strictly an inside game? Pffh.Other than that i agree with your assessment on Charlie. He was a pretty weak defender and was a bit inconsistent. He needs to learn how to take over games more. He said that defense would be his main focus in the off-season though. After all, most rookies are poor defenders.

I'm just as bad, but I do write long posts in the debate section occasionally.

Neither Prince, nor Howard, who are basically the same type of player, have quickness issues.

Dwyane WadeWeakness: Wade is dangerously close to being a combo guard. Too small to be a shooting guard not enough point guard skills to run a team offense ... While he shows range on his shot, his mid-range shooting remains streaky ... Must improve on moving without the ball he often needs the ball in his hands to create offense ... Wade's ball handling could stand to be improved if he is to play some point guard in the NBA ... Size. Many undersized guards have a hard time transitioning to the NBA game. Wade has the benefit of long arms which allow him to play big for his size ... Not much of a 3-point shooter although he does have the ability to make 3's. He often doesn't get his body fully squared to the basket ...

I agree also. I have noticed he moved pourly without the ball. I think he relies to much on his atletic ability sometimes. He needs to be careful because I could see him getting seriously injured and be the next Grant Hill type player.
