u guys have easily the best frontline in the nba. it honestly didnt occur to me because i watch so many celtic games and i get caught up in the KG, perkins, Sheed hype that i forgot how dominant your shot blocking centre's can be.
Thanks. Unfortunately we are struggling right now, and have possibly the worst starting point guard in the entire league.
raptor have twice as many FT's as us, this game was stolen from us, it seemed that we didnt play that badly, jut that the referees decided to let the raptors have 26 free throw attempts and us only nine. to me that sounds like a botched game and id say we should be happy with our players that they kept this game so close. fuck the nba and its ignorant, dumb-as-a-door-knob refs. these gys arent doing there jobs corrcetly and i think new refs should be found and that there are strict penalties for these sorts of games. we dont want more of this cheating in the league, and we want to prevent the whole illegal betting on games then calling against one team to win your bets. we should have won this game. we had more made fg's, more assists, more rebounds and more blocked shots. pau got 22 points, bynum 21, kobe had 27,16 and 9. superb game. this game was stolen from us.
I'd probably do it, but then again I'm not paying for the team. The price may be too high for Buss, but who knows. We really need an upgrade at PG, that's for sure. Calderon's shooting would be an added bonus for a team that likes to post up as much as we do.
Didn't see game, didn't evne know it was played earlier. Bynum's stats look good, how did he look? Where the fuck was Artest, Odom, and Fisher? Wait, lol, I just asked about Fish.
Refs gave Raptors the game? First I've ever heard of this, we never get calls. Especially guys like Andrea. The NBA wanting the Raptors to win over the Lakers is so loltastic its amazing.
Granted I missed part of the game (because of well, DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRR), but the issue we Raptors fans usually have is a lack of calls for us.
lakers actually had plenty of chances to win the game, they just didnt hit shots. as for the foul discrepancy- it wasnt that glaring as the lakers committed 18 and the raps committed 13 themselves, so nothing to write home about. and a lot of that can be attributed to the lakers being a lot more aggressive on defense. conversely, the raps play a very conservative style where they pack the paint and encourage teams to hit outside jumpers. also, another stat for u to ponder- this is the first time since 2007 that bosh didnt attempt a free throw.
i thought farmar outplayed caledron tonight and thats depressing considering we're paying caledron 8 million to be our backup. and u are right about the huge financial commitment that acquiring would caledron take. caledron gets paid approx 8 million a year and if u double that to reflect the tax, he's effectively making 16 million a year on your payroll. is caledron worth 16 million a year to u guys?
One game doesn't mean anything. Jordan has games when he plays well once in a blue moon, the majority of the time he sucks. If you look at his stats, they may look nice here and there, but he mostly stat pads when the game is already decided. Rarely does he ever step up when we need him the most, usually he's just a chucker/defensive liability. As for Calderon, I don't know his game that well. What I do know is that he's shooting 51% from the field, and he's a great three point shooter. I also know he is a good point guard who can pass the ball, all of which we do not have from our point guards. He's not a good defender but when was the last time our point guards could play defense? Never so it doesn't matter to me. I don't know if he's worth the entire 16 million, but put him out there with a lineup of Drew/Pau/Ron/Kobe, with the amount of open shots he'd get we'd be very tough to beat, which is why I'd pull the trigger. But then again, it's not my money, and Buss is already committed to paying a lot of luxury tax. I think either Calderon or Hinrich would do wonders for our team, and they're both on the trading block, I believe. Both have undesirable contracts though...
in that case, choose caledron over hinrich because he's cheaper and a far superior shooter. although, hinrich is an exceptional defender and caledron might be the worse defensive point guard in the nba.
I'd like to put the refs into a room without windows with an assassin. The last foul for Turkoglu is just crazy, and something like this also happened in Cleveland. I'm really starting to believe that there is some conspiracy against Lakers because it makes so much sense.
I didn't get a chance to watch the game either. I heard the Lakers didn't score during the last 1:46 and blew their 5 point lead. Bynum said the team gave up penetration too easily again and took responsibility for it. This is the 5th time I've heard him say that after a loss.
