Kenny and Jay Allen are reporting on Wheels at Work that Nate announced at practice today that Howard and Bayless will be starting tomorrow night.

As it should be as far as Bayless starting. I don't mind either way between Howard/Pendergraph.

Now to see if he makes the other adjustment. As to who is finishing the game. This should be really simple. Bayless and Rudy at SG while Roy is out. Bayless finishes the game.

I will only tolerate Bayless not finishing if he is just sucking out there and/or one of Blake/Rudy is really on fire. Otherwise easy baskets and putting pressure on defenses is the way to go.

I thought last night that Rudy and Bayless were starting to show some real strides of playing together well. They looked composed, they were sharing the ball well, and they balanced each other well, with Bayless providing pressure on the paint while Rudy provided outside shooting and movement off the ball.

I like the idea of Bayless/Rudy finishing together, but who out of Miller/Webster gets the shaft at the end? I would prefer Webster not play because I still might feel more confident having Miller bringing up the ball than Bayless, but at some point if you want to be our potential future starting PG, you may have to prove you can do so. He has done fine doing it when he has done it, but he hasn't been full court pressured that much from what I can remember. If Webster is having a bad game then obviously I like the idea of Bayless/Rudy more, but I am not sure. I still think Bayless should be in the 4th even if Rudy may not be. Meh, who knows. All I know is if you are giving Bayless a look at a last second shot (which is possible since most of our games will be close probably) don't bring him off the bench cold.

JB needs more minutes! Don't care if he starts or not, just more time on the floor!

JB is probably starting in place of Miller. Wouldn't want to take Blakey out of the starting lineup...

I think that's a bit unfair to Nate. He knows now that Blake's not saying anything if he doesn't start. Bayless'll grumble a bit, maybe have his agent ask for a trade. Andre will engage in a half-hour expletive-filled flame session.

    Ergo, Miller starts. :)

I've lost track of the grand total over the years, but so far this season, the answer would be 27.

Considering the reasonably good job Jerryd seemed to do on Paul (at least it seemed like CP3 had trouble hitting shots with JB covering him) I think he projects out as a better one-on-one defender against Deron ... of course it may not work out that way, but I like him matched up a lot better than I do Miller or Blake.

Bayless has yet to show he's any kind of go-to guy at the end of games. He usually appears nervous and indecisive in that position, as in our recent loss where he hesitated, got cornered, then just chucked up a miss.

Rudy, Steve, and Andre all have been there, done that. Rudy and Steve have twice the range of Andre and Jerryd, and they shoot to score, whereas Andre and Jerryd look to get fouled even though fouls are rarely called on the last shot.
