It's a gimmick to use a circular graph. In your mind, just unravel the spider web into a normal line graph or bar graph. I don't know what the color coding is. Check out every Blazer transaction since 2000. http://freepdfhosting.com/69531f5344.pdf
saw this yesterday and almost posted it, but then for some stupid reason though "naaah..." Anyway, don't worry about the first set of charts, that's just usage percentage. The fun stuff is the second set, where usage rate (for Portland, the red) is overlaid with PER (roughly, what they're doing with the ball in the time they have it). Set aside garbage time players. Yes, every time Shav was in the game, he was trying to chuck it up to get cheers. Same for Mills. But look at rotation players. Roy has a high usage, and a pretty good PER. Oden and Webster have PER rates that well outperform their usage rate (i.e., they're doing the most with the touches they get, on average). Guys like Rudy, Travis, LMA, Bayless and Blake don't have the same level of "production per use" as the others. Just another data point. I'm sure those who think Webster or Oden is their favorite will be crowing for more use for each, while those who like Blake and Rudy and Outlaw will find holes. Just another data point.
