Thanks for making a thread about this. I've never really been able to read a box score, so this helps.

EDIT: Oh, I get it. Ronnie Millsap . . . not Paul.

all it says is Millsap is better then LA. How much better would MIllsap look on this team. I can see why we went after him. Hes everything LA isnt.

You know for all your bitchin, Aldridge had a pretty good second half last night. At least give him some credit there. I have been on Lamarcus back about nutting up and being our main guy while Roy is out as well, but last night in the second half he at least played very well. Considering no Blazers played well in the first half except for Batum, I don't see how we can single him out.

he looked great vs the hornets when he missed that wide open jumper to seal the game then disappeared for the last 3 minutes.

    hes been great

We would me much better if we didn't lowball Millsap on that offer last summer. I'll never understand that.

Aldridge was quite good in the 3rd quarter last night, but couldn't perform when he was double-teamed in the 4th. But the game was obviously lost in the 1st, when no one - Aldridge included - could figure out a way to score, or a way to stop Utah from getting to the basket. Some blame falls to Aldridge as one of the guys in the middle who's supposed to defend the paint, but you've got to put some of the responsibility on Miller, Webster, and everyone else, who were lazy and confused on defense. Bad 1st quarter. Milsap's 15 and 11 were good. But LaMarcus Aldridge did score 25 points and get 9 boards - and everyone down low was paying attention to him (unlike with the Jazz - where the attention tended to be focused more on Okur and Boozer, when they were in). But Milsap's a good player - and the Blazers would've done well to land him.
