does anyone know if these guys are going to get traded? i've been hearing rumors that they may come to the knicks but i don't believe them because i think they're a long shot. i do think that they could be traded this offseason. are these just rumors or are they really on the block?
I heard a rumor that Allen Iverson might get traded to the Wolves and the Wolves might include a package including Davis

I think there will be a lot of teams contacting both Philadelphia and Minnesota this summer about the availability of those two but I do not expect anything to happen. I can only really speak about the situation in Minnesota because that is what I follow. Garnett won't be traded, period. Glen Taylor doesn't want him gone, Kevin McHale doesn't want him gone, the fans don't want him gone and most importantly, Garnett doesn't want to leave.
KG is probabbly gonna approach like Brett Favre did, wait to see how his team is doing in the offseason.. If there doing NOTHING then he most def. wants out.

The team lost 22 games by 5 points or less (something like that). The team has talent they were just missing the veterans who are the "glue" guys. With Ervin Johnson, Fred Hoiberg and the other veterans gone there was nobody there to help Garnett in the locker room. The team went too young too fast and it hurt the team this season. The team will get some veterans and hopefully a big crunch time player and they will improve.Plus, Garnett wants to stay because he wants to stay and spend his career in Minnesota. Garnett isn't the kind of person who runs away when the going gets tough.

I don't think the KG thing is like the Favre thing...KG is staying period. Can you honestly see AI in a different uniform right now? I can't.
anyone can get traded. wilt chamberlain arguably one of the best players to play the game even got traded. ya never know man.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Mr Wolf @ May 3 2006, 10:22 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The team can get better and will get better. Garnett isn't going to leave, period. I don't expect him to leave at all in his career but certainly not this year. Like I said, Garnett isn't the kind of guy who picks things up and runs because he looks at himself as a coward if he does that. Garnett has gone through worse times than this here in Minnesota and he has stuck around, this will be no different. He loves the fans and community too much to leave.Keep this in mind, Garnett is sick of change. Garnett has made the comment that the team has made too many changes in too quick of a period for him to adjust. It's taking a toll on him mentally and he wants the team to start settling down so they can develop chemistry. Garnett does not like change and him moving to a new team in a new city would be a major change.
i'm from minnesota, and i think he'll (kg) get traded...we need something here, no body even cares about the wolves or kg anymore around here so they need to trade and get something good

yea i feel what you're saying. kg is a great player and i love him. he's got good character and it does make sense that if he left he may look like a coward, i agree with you on that. don't bash me on this but what's the possibility of kg and marbury playing together again, either here or in minny?

I didn't read through the entire thread, but here is my take on it.No matter what either GM says, I'm pretty sure they will get phone calls from a lot of teams regarding the status of Iverson and Garnett, and they will probably entertain some offers. Whether they actually pull the trigger is another story.I'm sure Garnett wants help in Minnesota, and Iverson was disappointed in the season the team just had. I really wouldn't mind seeing the two team up together.Anyway, as a Sixers fan, I think Iverson has a 75% chance of being traded this offseason... I don't want to see him go, but if it's the right deal for the future, I'm all for it. However, I really think the Sixers need to move Webber if they are moving Iverson, or buy him out... anything to get rid of Webber.
i think a championship means more to kg than staying in a particular city. i think if he has the opportunity to get a ring in minnesota he'll stay and if he can get one elsewhere he'll go there. same with iverson. these guys are hungry for titles.
