oh yeah, don't get me wrong, i love curry...from watching him play this year, i can already tell that he's gonna be way better than i originally thought when we first drafted him. i agree, shooting guards are the most expendable players on the team (in most cases)...i'm juiced that we finally have a decent point, lets just hope we get some more people he can pass to.

all i'm saying is: when people talk about the rookies, it's always evans first, and then curry and jennings (besides griffin) ...i never really hear anybody talk about harden, and from what i've seen, i think he could definitely be an all star one day. he's got an NBA body already, and he can get to the rack very well.

What's with you and the gum chewing observation? LOL

    First Maggette and now Evans.

I agree and disagree with your assessment of Evans. I disagree about the character part. Everything I've seen and read shows he's committed to the game and is a real humble guy. Those are strong words about his character based on what you've seen, which you didn't really specify, but I'm guessing just the games and a few handful of interviews. I think that's a much too small sample size to be judging a guy's character.

I partially agree that his peak isn't too far from here, statistically. I think his impact on the game will be much greater as the years go on. He can play.

But, I think Curry's impact will be greater than Evan's in the long-run. But they're different players. I don't see Evan's as a PG. I just see him as a really good player.

I see Curry as a true PG...kind of a hybrid of Steve Nash and Chris Paul. That's probably overstating it, but let's hope ;-)

About the gum -- well, you can learn a lot about people from their small habits... :)

Yeah, it's a totally subjective, anecdotal observation on my part about Evans character -- I'm not trying to bash him to the ground, I'm just saying based on what I feel so far, he just seems a bit to cocky and careless right now. I could be wrong.

The reason why I brought up those observations is to highlight my opinion of the differences between Tyreke and Curry, and why I'd prefer Curry for this team over the long haul.

I just feel like Curry has a higher ceiling, because of his pedigree, his attitude, and his knowledge of the game.

I feel like Tyreke isn't far from his ceiling, and if I'm right about his "mindset" (moreso than "character," it's not that I think he's a bad guy, it's that I think he doesn't have the attitude and mindset to make himself better each year), he won't be getting better each year the way I think Curry will.
