Good news for Cooper. Paul Mariner joined Plymouth during the off-season after serving for years as Steve Nicol's assistant with the New England Revolution. Mariner is very familiar with Cooper's game and can do a lot to help his development. I don't think he would get Cooper if he wasn't going to use him. I'm hoping he can turn Cooper into a target striker at some point, but we shall see.

I wonder if they'll make it a permanent deal?

He seems to be on the outs with 1860 Munich. He injured himself in October and had a three week recovery, allegedly. Then didn't make a return until last week. Plymouth would be a good landing spot for him. I don't usually say this about England, but its a good spot for Cooper. He has the skills, but doesn't use his size to his advantage as a target forward. England will make him play physically.
