Any songs that come on the radio that literally pisses you off that the song is playing? Nothing comes close to this piece of shit. ANYTHING by this band I have to turn the station.
Anything even remotely connected to the soundtrack of Titanic. I had to sit through Celine "Fingernails-On-A-Chalkboard" Dion's song from that movie more than a dozen times in a row during a wedding rehearsal with an short-tempered groom and a really bitchy bride-to-be in a stifling (both behaviorally and temperaturally) church. She actually stomped upstairs to the balcony to yell at the person playing the music because that person couldn't make the necessary adjustments to the graphic equalizer correctly with the bride yelling at the person from the altar. The people in the church seemed mildly amused and weirdly tolerant of her behavior, but were haughtily offended and snooty when I tried to be a little irreverant and lighten the mood.
Off of the top of my head (I'm sure I will think of more) but basically anything by these guys: Or these guys:
This song drives me nuts. The band themselves don't even like the song. They admitted that they wrote the song for one reason - to get on the radio. They had been out of the spot light so long that their only goal was to write a song that got them on the radio. I hate that. I hate this song. And I still hear it on the damn radio. Especially since he ripped off the chorus and that's pretty much the only reason why the song is a single. These days all you need is to "sample" a successful song, add some of your own shitty lyrics and presto! You're a star.

For me, it's usually not necessarily the song, it's the incompetent/tatsteless interpretation/performance of the song. Anything by Michael Bolton, Kenny G, or Celine Dion.

Regarding Kenny G...here's a quote from Pat Metheny on Kenny G that's pretty funny: Not long ago, Kenny G put out a recording where he overdubbed himself on top of a 30+ year old Louis Armstrong record, the track "What a Wonderful World". With this single move, Kenny G became one of the few people on earth I can say that I really can't use at all - as a man, for his incredible arrogance to even consider such a thing, and as a musician, for presuming to share the stage with the single most important figure in our music. ...(W)hen Kenny G decided that it was appropriate for him to defile the music of the man who is probably the greatest jazz musician that has ever lived by spewing his lame-ass, jive, pseudo bluesy, out-of-tune, noodling, wimped out, fucked up playing all over one of the great Louis's tracks (even one of his lesser ones), he did something that I would not have imagined possible. He, in one move, through his unbelievably pretentious and calloused musical decision to embark on this most cynical of musical paths, shit all over the graves of all the musicians past and present who have risked their lives by going out there on the road for years and years developing their own music inspired by the standards of grace that Louis Armstrong brought to every single note he played over an amazing lifetime as a musician. By disrespecting Louis, his legacy and by default, everyone who has ever tried to do something positive with improvised music and what it can be, Kenny G has created a new low point in modern culture - something that we all should be totally embarrassed about - and afraid of. We ignore this, "let it slide", at our own peril. http://www.jazzoasis.com/methenyonkennyg.htm
