I think the top candidates are Adam Morrison, Randy Foye, and possibly Rudy Gay. Morrison's game is already developed and he should make the most immediate impact. Foye is a great scorer, so he is in the runnings as well. Brandon Roy is a possibilty too, depending on where he lands.

I'd have to agree that Morrison is the obvious choice since i think he is the best scorer coming into the league and i think he is also nba ready. Plus he's gonna be going to a team that needs scoring so he will be shooting the ball alot.No one else really jumps out to me. Roy and Gay are also good choices as well.

I just don't think Morrison is going to be that good, he won't get to the rim and rookies usually never shoot well early in their careers.

    Re: ROY in '06-'07?

Dpends what type of player it is and where they go. Some players that will make an impact right away are Brandon Roy and Adam Morrison. Brandon Roy has been one of the most overlooked players in basketball. Hes a great player who will come to his team and start doing a little of everything right away.. He can make a HUGE impact on a team. Morrison also is the type of player who will come in and just start producing right away. Hes definetly the player w/ the best chance to score 20 ppg in his rookie season. For those of you saying Tyrus Thomas, I really doubt it. Hes still young, and will need time to grow. He has the talent to become the best player out of the draft, but he shouldnt be huge in his first season kind of like Marvin Williams. Also someone that im having some doubts about for his rookie season is Rudy Gay. Yes some of you will think its crazy, but i think theres a big chance of it happening. Everyone xpected him to be Player of the Year and a star this year, but he wasnt. I mean hes obviously the type of player that can be special, but i dont think hes worked hard enough yet to do it. IMO he had a dissapointing season, and failed to produce well in the tourny. So I think hell be a star in the NBA but I do have some doubts about his rookie season.

I'll answer this after the draft. Its not possible to pick the answer to this without knowing what team theyre on. Who knows, Marcus Williams could end up in New Jersey (haha probably not, but bear with me for the sake of example), and be stuck behind Jason Kidd, one of the better PGs of our time. Also, he could land in Atlanta, where he would probably jump in and start right away, like Chris Paul did. It definitely matters where they go, but based on talent I'd say probably Brandon Roy. But then again, I reserve the right to change my opinion after the draft.

I would have to say either Randy Foye or Tyrus Thomas.

Adam Morrison. You know that dude will take control and score alot. He scored near 30 ppg in college. He is obviously ready to score in the NBA. His game is very versatile. He can do everything to score. Put it on the floor, shoot, post up, inside score. I predict 16 ppg from him next year.

I believe Rudy Gay is a horrible choice for rookie of the year. I dont think his game is developed enough to suceed at the NBA right now. Sure he can do windmills on the fastbreak, and he can get to the rim. But can he shoot NBA 3's? NO. He'll be limited his first couple years until he decides to learn to shoot a 3 pointer. Adam Morrison is my pick. His game is more refined than anyone else in this draft. I have him going numero uno in my mock. Even though I hate him, he will be a scorer throughout his career. At best he'll have a Melo-type rookie year.

Tyrus Thomas is a bad pick. He's athletic but he left too early, he's not ready for the NBA.My pick for ROY is Lamarcus Aldridge, he's big and ready for the NBA and strong ang athletic enough for an inside game.I really hate Morrison first off because he is DISGUSTING and second off he's not athletic or fast enough to get open..he's just a disgusting player overall.

I don't think he will be a top 5 pick, I just don't like him.

Wow true picks by someone who knows nothing about basketball, and just picks the co-players of the year. JJ Redick??? You have to be kidding. JJ will never be as good as he was in college. In the NBA he will get know where near as many open shots as he did in college which was one thing he relied on a lot for scoring. He also can't create his own shot. Last is lack of size. He is 6'4 and a sg. He will now be playing against shooting guards that are anywhere from 6'6 - 6'8. Last he is a one dimensional player. JJ Redick is a shooter and thats all he is. Still think hes a big candidate???

Morrison! Adam is bigger, and more versatile. I'm a Dukie and a big JJ fan but all the man can do is shoot the godamn ball. (He can shoot it quite good though)

Adam Morrison is going to be the biggest bust in the lottery this year and hopefully his flaws are noticed in the camps before the draft.
