Ron didn't flop on that foul, if you look @ his feet on the replay of it, he trips over Paul's feet and stumbles.
Our bench was terrible again on the road. Lakers really need to trade for a legit 3 point shooter. The Celtics kept sending to defenders to Kobe and collapsed into the paint to prevent him from passing the ball inside. If we had a competent outside threat Kobe would have another option to kick the ball out for wide open 3's. I wonder how Hinrich would perform in those situations? Hopefully Hinrich would give more resistance on Rondo and the other quick guards in the league. That was just ridiculous how easy Rondo was blowing past our guards, Fisher, Farmar, and Brown what a disaster.
I didn't notice the feet getting tangled. He looked like he lost his balance on the play, but I thought that was acting on his part and trying to sell the foul to the officials. I watched that play again. There wasn't any contact with Kobe when he was whistled for the offensive foul.
When Artest stepped in the way of Garnett running down court and stood his ground as KG collided with him, I loved it. KG fell to the floor and Artest didn't BUDGE. Dude is a fuckin' house of bricks. Now just stay healthy.
Word. Loved how Big Drew dunked in KG's face after he was talking trash all the way down the court. That was sick. If only Pau could grow some balls. We need the 2009 Pau Gasol back, currently we're witnessing the 2008 version. :[
You guys notice how Gasol dunks? So pussy-like. He needs to dunk with authority. Like Shannon or Dwight Howard. Not that it really makes any difference in terms of points, obviously. But I'd like for him to be more damn aggressive. I've seen Gasol skip around the court a few games too. ahah Lakers need to show him the gym.
After the 90-89 triumph, Kobe made it sound so simple, and to him it probably is. "I just tried to create space and get to a spot where I could elevate and knock it down." They should put those words on his grave stone. Create. Elevate. Knock it down. And here's the conversation with coach Phil Jackson, according to Kobe, before the heroics. "I didn't say, 'Give me one more chance,' I said, 'Give me the damn ball."'
I guess PJax wanted to keep an agitator on the floor. BTW if you guys missed the game there's a midnight replay on ESPN. Hopefully Thrilla can stay up and watch the phantom call.
I fuckin' love Artest. Can't believe I've ever hated the guy. Artest did that shit to Paul intentionally and it worked. Can't wait for the rematch.
I really am disappointed with Pau this year. He's put up shit games against Cleveland twice and now Boston. Brian, you said it best when you brought up 2008 Pau.
