Yes, he's tied for 3rd highest FG% in the list. The list to which I linked earlier in the thread shows Miller's 7 FT as the fewest FT on the list. Had I added the parameter of "at most 7 FT," his would have been the only name on the list, which covers the last 24 years. The closest are: 20 years ago, Malone had 22 FG, 0 3FG, and 8 FT. 16 years ago, Shaq had the same, except 9 FT.
Last year, Brandon Roy averaged only 16.9 attempts per game. And he's an actual shooting guard. He's supposed to shoot. PG is supposed to facillitate the shooting of his teammates. I told you guys Miller's all about his stats, he's a ballhog. Compared to Miller, Zach was King Edward Vlll.
A PG is supposed to get a feel for each individual game and do what is necessary to help the team win. Sometimes that involves more facilitating by feeding the hot hand, sometimes more scoring, sometimes finding the mismatches and expoiting them. Last night Miller was the hot hand a mismatch. People always give Nate shit for going away from the hot hand, while last night he didn't (or Miller just said fuck it). If something is working why go away from it until the other team adjusts? By the way congrats on your win.
A point guard is supposed to have the decision-making to get shots for the best option to score on each possession. Last night, Miller created numerous scoring opportunities for a guy who scored 52 points on over 70% shooting. Fantastic decision-making.

You're a troll, plain and simple. A PG's role is to create the best scoring opportunities for his team. The fact that Miller was creating lay-ups for himself all night long tells me he was doing just that - creating easy scoring opportunities for his team. Only an idiot, or a PG who can't make a lay-up, would pass up those opportunities and pass off to a teammate for a lower percentage shot. BTW, Miller scored more points last night than Sergio did in January - all of January. Miller also had more than 5x as many assists in January as Sergio. Sergio is 2nd on the Kings in efficiency per 48 minutes. By comparison to his 24.3, Andre Miller is 22.0, Bayless is 20.2, and Blake is 15.3. Sergio would rank 4th on our team, almost 3rd, but 0.1 under Aldridge at 24.4. You might say it's because we have a slower pace, but our team eff per 48 is 21.6 and the Kings is 21.5. So his team's total is actually less, not more, than ours.
