Who forces Cinco de Mayo on anyone? Mandatory celebrations are unknown to me. Cinco de Mayo is like most non-American holidays here, an excuse for drunks to get really, really drunk. Nobody else even notices it. Most Americans couldn't even tell you what date of what month it's on.
I walk around on Cinco De Mayo kicking the ass of anyone I see that isn't celebrating...and I'm not even Mexican. Celebrate BIATCHES!!!!
I guess no one cares about the 86k or so (iirc) that was used to replace fully functional street signs? Or is that a small price to pay for homage to Senor Chavez?
When unions for gov't employees and corporations can spend over 10 million on a campaign . . . 86K really isn't that much when talking about a gov't budget, IMO.
