We currently are on pace for 47.6 victories for the season.

If we play .500 ball the remainder of the season we finish with 45 wins.

Playoffs with those numbers? Debate away.

    47 will get you in

my thoughts are any of these teams could get in for the 6,7,8 spots meaning 3 wont get in...

Blazers - if we get roy back and have no more injuries... i think we SHOULD GET IN

Suns - If they trade amare... they are done. If not they get in.

Grizz - 1 injury will kill them. no depth. i still think they fall apart down stretch.

OKC - toughest call of the bunch. i think they get in. being young could hurt too.

Rockets - they have overachieved. i think they are out.

Hornets - if pauls out a month +... its over. cross them off list.

so if you feel the hornets fall apart.... that leaves 4 teams we are fighting with. 47 gets you in.

Maybe. The west is beating the living hell out of itself this season so teams with lower records have a chance to sneak into the playoffs. I figure Portland will probably end the year in 7th or 8th position.

I just don't want to match up against Utah, Denver, or Houston.

I would however, like LA or Dallas. Any time I can match up with a team that hasn't beat us at home in 5 years, or a team that we have beat twice on their home court during the year, I am good with it.
