Source: Daily News I wouldn't mind adding him for the stretch run if the Knicks buy him out. Hughes is a streaky player, but when he has his mind set Hughes is a solid on-ball defender. He could be the 'Ron Harper' type addition this team needs. He has the size to be effective in PJax system because it takes away match up advantages on defensive switches. A lot of teams try to use pick and roll on the Lakers to force a big versus our guard in the paint or a guard being defended by one of our slow bigs. With a versatile defender it takes away those opportunities.
Well if he didn't commit on the defensive end they could simply waive him. I'm still crossing my fingers we can end up with Devin Harris some how.
I'm hoping the two losses to Cleveland has Mitch workin' the phones hard. I'm not convinced by those losses that they can beat us because come playoff time, we're a whole different animal, but it would be one hell of a series if we meet up with them in the Finals.

I don't think it would be a disaster if we lost. Why? Because LeBron's got a one ring? I doubt they beat us in 7 game series, anyways. In both games against them Gasol was a pussy and Drew was ineffective. We didn't look to establish the post, either. That won't be the case come playoff basketball time.
