Like whats going on now, do you think it hurts the game and makes basketball more of a joke/unprofessional or do you think it gives the game an edge? I love it when players attack eachother through the media, I love it because NBA players just repeat soundbites 100% of the time.

In a way yes it is.The whole Kobe-Shaq fued was great. When the Lakers played the Heat ratings skyrocketed. It keeps fans wanting more. I have been loving the Lakers-Suns series because its fun to watch Bell and kobe go at it.

I think it makes the games more entertaining and keeps things interesting, so in that way I think it's good for the sport. If it weren't for the Shaq/Kobe feud then we wouldn't have seen Lakers/Heat on Christmas two years running, clearly it gets ratings.

It makes for more drama and better TV ratings. But if something like this gets pushed too far then it's detrimental to the teams that are involved.

Clearly it helps ratings. I guess you could call that helping? It helps the NBA make money, I wouldn't say it helps the game of basketball though.

Yeah it helps the ratings and the drama, blah blah, I could care less. What I like about it is the intensity of the game when someone lashes out at each other. That makes playoff basketball much better. It gets the crowd into the game more, and the players are doing everything they can do show that other player who the boss is.EDIT: Which is also why I would rather Bell was not suspended for Game 6 to bring out the true greatness/determination of Kobe Bryant. That game will be instense, but imagine how it would be with Bell guarding Kobe.

I personally like it. It gives the league more things to discuss and it makes David Stern work harder. I guess it really depends on the extent of the confrontation. It can be bad to a certain extent when it gets out of hand.

I think it helps attract an audience, especially if it is two high-profile players like Shaq and Kobe, but it isn't a good thing for the integrity of the game.

Yes it is. People will always think NBA players are pricks, whether they are or not. Therefore, throwing in a few feuds here and there are simply good entertainment.

it raises the level of , for the lack of a better word, intensity to the game. It might suck some people in, too.

It just sucks when those players get suspended for taking it to another level and you can't see them play.
