    The future:

Candians and countries with "universal healthcare" will go to the US for surgeries because the care is better in the higher end and less wait.

US citizens, struggling with the high cost of healthcare, will go to 3rd world countries like India and Thailand for treatment!

The U.S. has the best healthcare in the world. That shouldn't be disputed. Our system isn't very good, though. If you have enough money, it is great, though.

He didn't want to wait 3 years for the surgery and have it done by an ob-gyn.

No one is doubting that the quality of health care available for those who have money is good.

The point is to make it more accessible for everyone.

But hey, if hyperbole and anecdotes weren't allowed in discussing politics, 90% of you wouldn't be able to say anything.

Why, if you read the article, it itself points out how people have also gone to Canada for procedures too.

    .

It's kind of like when Rush praised our healthcare system when he had his issue while in Hawaii, not realizing that Hawaii has a unique form of universal healthcare...and he's insanely rich and can afford to get whatever he needed done.

Americans spend over a billion dollars a year in Canada for prescription drugs by mail.

American drug companies typically tack on an additional 200%-400% profit on the identical drugs when they sell them in America to Americans.

    Treason.
