    2. But what any of us thinks should have no affect on your decision.

By the way, you will be able to read this no matter what font I choose. It will be curved across the top of my upper back and the text will be thicker.

Yeah, two and three are my choices so far.

    I don't get it.

    LMAO!

    I'm likin' the 3.

I don't want to use the font on the crest because I don't like that style of font. I want something that looks more original instead of a generic font on my fact.

If you really have an issue reading it, then that is definitely a personal issue as I can make out every letter in one through seven.

I don't know if you're actually giving me constructive criticism or just being your usual self. :dunno:

    Haha, bastard.

It won't, but it will be nice to see what you guys think.

Well, if it were me I'd go with more than just a font. The point of emphasis seems to be "harmony" in the slogan, so I'd focus on that. The symbol most frequently associated with the term "harmony" is the circle (which coincidentally is the shape of a soccer ball.)

I dummied up a few quick ideas. See attached.

That's a great idea! I like the forth one. I wouldn't know where I would place the other drafts but I really like the ideas.

I'm going to think about this "harmony" idea and see what else I can come up with. Thanks again! :)

That wasn't obvious from your original post.

I have no idea what you mean by that. You asked for input and I gave it. If it was me, I'd want to be damn sure it was readable. But it's not me. It's a personal choice. I was just giving my personal opinion. No need to be insulting. If you don't like my input, feel free to ignore it.

Best of luck with whatever font/style you choose.

    7, 5, 1 in that order.

The thing about tattooing words on oneself is that one should not have to read the writing aloud in order for one's tattoo to be understood by others.

How is that insulting? Don't you want to be yourself?

Anyway, thanks for the help, I should of said that before.

I'll say it again: The templates do not look like the exact tattoo I'll be getting. Same font but it will be a different size and slightly altered to my preferences.

Good choices. I've made sure I can pronounce the word, no worries.

    Because you said:

"I don't know if you're actually giving me constructive criticism or just being your usual self."

Which implies that being my usual self and being helpful are mutually exclusive. I prefer to think that my usual self is constuctive and helpful.

You're welcome. FWIW, I like the second set of gothic style fonts much better than the first set of script style fonts. I think they are more masculine, easier to read and closer to the font used for "Arsenal" on the team crest. I like any of the last 4, with my favorites being 3rd from last (for readability) and 4th from last (for coolness).

OK so I know I am replying to an old thread but I just started researching a tattoo of my own, also wanting to include the latin motto - for two reasons, because I am a massive gooner and the saying resonates with me...I think it is a philosophy true to life.

I am curious to know what you went for in the end.

it hurt less than a wanker stamp that says "tramp", I guess.
