So for the past week I have been getting this "roxwatchtray9.exe - system error" everytime i turn on my comp. it says "the program can't start becauase MSVCR71.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem".

i went to see what this even was, and it was for roxio easy media creator. i figured i didnt even use that so i just uninstalled and got it out of my system. but i am still now getting the error everytime i turn on the comp? any ideas?

You probably need to take it out of your registry. good luck with that.

see if you can download the file "MSVCR71.dll" be careful though, might be a trojan....but you can probably find it somewhere.

Never heard of Roxio so it could be malicious. Run a virus scan, and search your HDD for any of those keywords and delete the files. If that doesn't work, you'll have to remove it from your directory.

Google the file name and see what you find.

I didn't use my computer enough to really bash Vista. Like I got on and played on hte internet and had Itunes and all that, but I really like 7. But all the stuff I like about it is mainly just little things, things that you don't need, just that are nice to have. I will say it is less cluttered and their is much less click. The new toolbar at the bottom is really nice once you get used to it, having a changing background on yoru desktop is nice, but just little things that never really bothered me on Vista, it's just nice to have.

Although I will say it is noticeably faster, especially during turn ons and shut offs. It's no MAC, but it still boots much faster then Vista.

That is what the was! I kept forgetting. Also, if you grab a window to drag it around, shake it and it will minimize all the other windows behind it.

I know about the shake one. If you hold the Windows key and then hit the arrow keys you'll resize your document.

Interesting. And you have that one where you drag the window to the far right or left and it will resize it. If you drag it to the top it will maximize it full screen.

That could be helpful. Is that for Outlook/Thunderbird?
