Im so sick of this guys turnovers. For as many good plays he makes... he makes just as many bad ones. Not to mention he has butter fingers half the time and barely makes threes anymore. Im just so tired of watching Rudy make mistake after mistake.

Either hes having a really bad season or hes just a real average player.

You call 0-6 shooting the 3 ball great (vs SA)?
His only good game was against Charlotte with 3 steals, two 3 pointers, and five assists.
I'm going to skip my Fernandez jersey and get a Batum one!

All these games have two halves and Rudy played very well in the first half. He didn't hit his threes but did a lot of good thing in the first half. He is a player that excels in the running game.

9 points, 5 assts., 2 rebs, 2 blocks and 2 TO's. if that qualifies for a shitty game than i hope he plays shitty the rest of the season. he didn't shoot the ball well but the guys does so much more for us. he's active out there and he, along with batum and miller, can get our running game going.

charlotte he played well, houston he was great, no and det are also games where he carried us for stretches. again i'm going to assume this is you stirring the pot and looking for this kind of reaction, because rudy's not one of the problems with this team.

He was a burst of energy off the bench at the end of the 1st quarter. I though he was great tonight. He is kinda like Kidd or Nash in that they are always trying to push the pace and create. Thus creating to more opportunities AND T.O.'s. I love his energy. He can change the momentum of a game like he did tonight.

Rudy can't dribble very well. He almost never creates anything for himself or others in the half court offense. He is pretty good at running the break, but other than that all he can do is shoot three pointers. And he actually isn't more than decent at them. Not to mention his piss poor defense. I'm fine with him, but he shouldn't get more than 20 minutes a night.

Unless he has an outburst offensively and defensively. I agree that he should be stuck with 20 min a game.

Rudy's a very good role player off the bench.

Mixum- do even know the differnce between a basketball and, say, a football? 'Cause you sure don't know crap about the game of basketball.

Rudy's a fine off the bench player, he'd be much better long term on a running wide open style team. IMO he should be traded for a big if a fair trade is available. We have plenty of horses and IMO he is not really needed.

Rudy is a very good bench player who excels in a fast break offense. I love his energy coming off the bench. Like 99% of bench players they will be streaky with their three ball.

But the bottom line is he is a bench player. A very important part of the team, but none-the-less a bench player. You have to have a strong bench in the NBA to survive a long season. Hopefully Rudy, his manager, and the fans have all come to this conclusion and will be happy with 20 minutes one night and 30 minutes on others. I would hate to see him go as I love to watch the flare that he brings. (even with his turn over's) But the probable scenario is that he, his manager, and his fans will never be happy until he is traded to a team that they feel he is better suited for. Once that is done and he eventually ends up on the second team there as well, hopefully he can come back and be Roy's back up again.

I still wouldn't trade him though

Now see, I would trade him IF his market value is what some say. Pritchard said last season that the guys he got called about the most were Rudy & Batum. Rudy may be that rare case of having more market value than he's actually worth. He's such a popular guy, and with (as MIXIM apply mentioned a while back) his merchandising power, there may be a deal out there to be had. If you watch a highlight real of Rudy you could talk yourself into thinking he's got the talent to be a really good starting SG. But watching him day in/out you see he's not consistent enough (and then there's that Brandon Roy guy playing in front of him) His flaws as I see them are: he's frail and can't finish in traffic, he's careless with the ball at times, he's not able to create off the dribble, and you might say he would have durability issues if he was asked to play 30+ minutes/night. I don't know how much he can improve on his weaknesses. I'm not saying get rid of the guy by any means, but I wouldn't call him "untouchable" either.

I am also worried that when Roy comes back, Rudy's minutes/role are going to plummet and he's going to get pissy again. Before his back injury, he was visibly upset with the way he was (or wasn't) being used.

Exactly, I thought he did a lot of things well tonight - steals, fast-breaks. He was 0-6 from 3 but still had an impact, and I wouldn't count on him going 0-6 from 3 every game.

ya think... Rudy is a career 39% 3 point shooter

Geez, 4 or 10 for 10 points, 5 assists 2 TOs, 2 Rbs, 2 blocks and a steal and the usual suspects are seeing the sky fall. Another solid showing rounding back into his game following back surgery... reality is looking pretty good
