What would you trade for Corey Maggette?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Sources: Clippers Will Look To Deal Maggette For Draft Pick 4th May, 2006 - 1:54 pm ESPN - Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that sources have informed him the Clippers are likely to seek a trade involving Corey Maggette for the best draft selection they can acquire in return, most likely from a team such as Chicago or Atlanta, who will have a lottery pick, as well as salary cap space. The thinking behind dealing Maggette is that Donald Sterling will be more willing to spend the money to re-sign Sam Cassell and Vladimir Radmanovic if Maggette's salary is shed. [READ]</div> Yeah, like Chicago needs 3 SF's on their team...idiot. Would you trade a top 10 pick for him? Injuries are always a problem.

Definitely, he's a solid player and you have a much better chance of getting a productive player with him then a top 10 draft pick.

All the teams that could deal for him don't need him. The Bobcats have Wallace, but I guess he could move back to the two? And obviously the Bulls or Hawks don't need him. Do you think the Bobcats should make a move for him? Maggette and Wallace could make a nice duo.

Atlanta would be so stupid to take him. They already have way to many SF/SG's.

I don't think either of Chicago or especially Atlanta will make a deal for him.Chicago: Luol Deng, Andres NocioniAtlanta: Al Harrington, Joe Johnson, Marvin Williams, Josh Smith, Josh Childress. No way in hell they add Corey Maggette.Plus Chicago really could use a big man from this draft whether it be Ty Thomas, LaMarcus Aldridge, Andrea Bargnani, Tiago Splitter, etc. And Atlanta needs a big man as well, and a PG.But Corey Maggette is an All-Star caliber SF when he's healthy and has value around the league. He's not too expensive and he's a gamer. But the only concern would be his health, but if you ask me he's holding up just fine so far in the playoffs.

I definetly would. He is a great player and if he got out of LA he would probably be lighting up the nets elsewhere.

If they would be trading for a pick in this years upcoming draft i wouldnt do it if i was the clippers. It is a very weak and draft and he will be better than most of the players in the top 10 picks. In any other draft though i would take a top 10 pick over him. You never know what you could get. Injuries are definatley a factor.

How about Orlando as a home for Maggette again? They have a hole at swingman. They could go with the draft, or trade the pick and another player maybe.

I think Chicago would be a good place for him. It would give him the chance to finally shine as #1 option. he is young enough, and if he can stay healthy, would be a great place for him.Orlando is also a good choice. They looked very good at end of season, but I think they need that really good swingman to compliment Dwight.

I still fancy my idea of the Bobcats better though.

I don't think Ben Gordon will ever be more than a big spark and a great role player, but I think Magette would be the X-factor in series against a team like Miami, where they lack an answer to Wade.

I just don't think Wallace is a 20 point scorer. They would make for a sick duo. Magette would be an instant superstar and crowd fav their.

Nocioni would still be a low post guy who can spot up for 3, but he, nor Deng will never be a 20-25PPG scorer IMO. Magette would be that guy, and would fit in very well with that team. AS for Charolette, Wallace has all the ability and athleticism in world to be that guy on the Bobcats. I say give him 1 more year, with a healthy Emeka Okafur, sophmore Felton and May, and maybe a new FA signing, and then see if they need a player like Magette.

Corey Maggette is one of the players I'd stay away from if I was a general manager. Besides his obvious injury problems, he is a guy who takes a lot of shots and struggles in a stable offense. I remember last year there was something on realgm.com about how he is too stupid to remember plays from the playbook. To me, that is just a lack of effort when it comes to learning the plays and that is something you should look to keep away from.I wouldn't deal a top five pick for him because you'll also have to deal a player to match salaries and that would be too much for Maggette. The pick in itself might be too much for Maggette.

Joey Graham, Matt Bonner, 2006 1st round pick. Not much I could really offer.

I remember when there were rumors about trading for Pierce for Maggette straight up, that would have been a horrible trade and the Clippers would probably be a freakin contender right now haha. here's the problem with corey99-00 77 games00-01 69 games01-02 63 games02-03 64 games03-04 73 games04-05 66 games05-06 32 gamesgets injured too much, I like dogma's trade, Tony allen and some fillers.
