Maybe it would have been even longer if he hadn't had the procedure. To my knowledge it was really a surgery though, just injecting plasma or whatever in his leg..

    "Just around the next bend..."

But, it's good he's not playing. Does it give any advantage to the Blazers to be telling everyone he might be coming back soon, even if they know he won't be back until after AS game? Like the other teams have to spend time game planning in the event he plays? If so, please continue to tell us he might be playing the next game.

See you in a couple weeks Brandon!

no kidding ....worst kept secret in the nba at this point. lets just hope we can get 1 win before break

can the blazers just get it over with and say...

"roy will return after the all star break and will not participate in all star game"

Yeah, much better to placate irritating fans than to make the other teams work harder game planning...

100% agree no huge rush... he needs to play imo the first game after the AS break no matter what to test it out... even if it's as a backup... but that's just my thinking... give him rest until then... and the extra time off because of the AS game.

I suppose they could just say that, but then they might actually be reasoning sorts of people who want to see whether he's actually healed enough to play by Tuesday or Wednesday.

BTW, Roy's already said that if he can't go in these last Blazer games before the break, he probably won't play in the All-Star Game.

Even if he plays in the final two games he shouldn't play in the AS game. He wants his rest so he should take advantage of it. Playing in the AS game after sitting out all these games would be ridiculous imo.

I'm pretty sure that he's rested enough after missing all of these games. Assuming his hamstring is healed enough that he plays the next two games, he should be good for 20 minutes of PT in an exhibition basketball game. Sitting out the AS game if he's healthy would be ridiculous, imo.

If Denver can win in LA without Anthony, then we can certainly beat LA in Portland without Roy.

The Blazers will win tonight anyway. MIXUM will post that he knew they'd win all along and that Roy is expendible and should be traded. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH

This isn't good news, obviously, especially considering the Blazers have LA, OKC, and Phoenix upcoming. But I'd rather have him rest than have him re-injure his hammy.

If you want to read about the injury, here you go: http://fanhuddle.com/portlandtrailb...oy-officially-out-through-the-all-star-break/
If you want to read a Blazers/L*kers preview, enjoy!: http://fanhuddle.com/portlandtrailblazers/2010/02/06/blazerslakers-preview-how-the-streak-goes-on/

Hopefully Bayless is fully recovered and hopefully Rudy, Batum, and Webs play like they did against San Antonio. Hopefully the streak against LA at RG reaches 10!

Definitely. Especially if the Lakers defense is as porous as it was against Denver.
