Imagine we win tonight... At Portland... Without Kobe.

Would be huge. I'm not keeping my hopes up though.

Maybe kobe is the unlucky one @ portland and not the lakers LOL

They keep on saying the lakers are 4 - 21 or something like that "since kobe's rookie season"

He got injured early on. I think it's his hip, nothing serious.

Anyways, great performance tonight, I'm proud of our guys. We finally get the monkey off our backs and win in Portland, without Kobe. Who would've thought...

Great way to bounce back from last night's debacle.

Everyone stepped up tonight. Ron Ron was fantastic, LO was amazing on the boards, a true team player. Shannon was awesome off the bench, and Farmar/Sasha both gave us valuable contributions off the bench. Derek was decent as well.

Only player that disappointed was Pau. He really needs to get out of his slump.

Is it just me or does Pau seem to lose the ball quite a lot?

It's never been a problem until recently. His hands are turning Kwame-ish now. I don't know what the hell happened to him. Seems like after winning the championship he's regressed a lot.

Kevin Ding said Kobe sitting out tonight was his own call.

He may sit out through the allstar break. Good news if true. He needs a break to heal. I think we'll be fine without him.

Same here, Kobe really needs to rest, he's too banged up right now. I hope this could also give Pau the touches he needs to get out of his Kwame slump. Dude lost the ball quite a lot even in that Portland game.

Yeah, we'll need him come playoff time.

How come DJ hasn't been playing at all this season? Doesn't he usually play some good D in the paint?

Kobe needs to sit, he knows his body won't heal if he keeps playing.

Awesome win tonight. Shannon, Artest, and Lamar really stepped up.

Gasol continues to disappoint me. He's playing like a 3rd option, yet he comes out and crucifies Kobe through the media. I'd rather see Odom and Bynum as the starting lineup and Gasol off the bench than Bynum and Gasol.

Bynum went down with a bruised hip. Shouldn't be out long, but sounds painful. Any hip injury is painful.

I just wish the guys (excluding a few) would play with this kind of effort and passion every night.

I'm just hoping, that when playoffs come, we flip the switch and go apeshit.

I didn't see the game but I see there was a big difference in state. Most of players knew they had to step up to win this game and did they show heart out there?

Really happy to wake up with these news :D

This is exactly what Odom said after the game. He said everyone was focused for once and we saw the results of what the team is capable of doing. Our bench brought a lot of energy and Odom was the windex man on the glass.

Hopefully the team closes can hit the switch now and get into championship mode.

Gasol looks fatigued more than anything and it's hurting his confidence. He's indecisive and gets flustered too often by the officials.
