    Sales down over 16% in January...most of it, I'm sure, due to the recall issues.

    IMO, now is the golden opportunity for Ford, GM, or other US auto manufacturer's CEO to create an ad spot focusing on their record and commitment to quality!

    OTOH, would/could that even be factual? :lol:

    You do know that Toyota manufactures cars in the USA as well, this isn't really good news IMO.....

    This won't hurt Toyota long term. This recall aside, they still make far better cars than anyone else- except Honda. And speaking of Honda, remember when their Civics were bursting into flames on the first oil change and it took a while for them to figure out what was wrong? It hurt them for 6 months or so and that was it.

    Ford is using Toyota's Hybrid technology. They are also having problems with the brake system software as reported by Consumer Reports.
