In your world, who then adopts the newborns?

In my world, people don't have children they don't want.

In this world, newborns are rarely born without at least one parent and no adoption is needed. :sherlock:

Of course, in a fantasy world where abortion was magically eliminated (outlawing it has no effect) there would indeed be many unwanted newborns and then my friend wouldn't have to pay $40,000 for a baby from a white-slave trader/lawyer.

Supply and demand rules. It's Capitalism at it's worst.

Standing in line at the government warehouse on Tuesdays to get a loaf of bread and a slice of cheese is how it works where there isn't capitalism.

I wasn't attacking Capitalism, I'm all for it.

But it's very limiting and like all good things, it's best in moderation.

I make my living through capitalism (that's basically all it's good for), but I also practice parts of many other ideologies including socialism, communism, totalitarianism, nepotism, and of course skepticism.

Creating babies for the sole purpose of selling them is disgustingly evil IMO, and I'm flabbergasted that it's legal in our once-proud country.

Isn't the point of the ad pro-choice? She was told she should abort the child and chose to keep it.

I'm pro-choice, but that choice cuts both ways.

People constantly talk about how irresponsible people get pregnant and the kids' lives are ruined. I wonder how many irresponsible people have had their lives straightened out by getting pregnant in the first place? Having a child has a way of sorting your life out in a hurry.

She was not told anything of the sort. Her entire tale is obviously pure fiction, and poorly conceived at that. They are probably editing it as we speak to keep from getting sued by Allred.

Pro choice would imply at least 1 other viable option. The ad will not make that point.

Pro choice means you can have an abortion or have a baby or use a condom or practice abstinence. The ad will not make that point.

She made a choice to lie to America, and to use her own child to do so.

You are correct in that I disapprove of her choice to lie, and if that's how she raised her son perhaps she should have had an abortion.

Liars are very bad people and a drain on society.

Crazy pro-choice lady that opposed the ad is apparently now harping that the commercial advocated violence against women with the humorous tackle by Tebow on his mom. Crazy lady is craaaaaazy.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
That was a kind of weird touch, though.

Good thing Tebow isn't a hockey player, or he'd have had to check his mom face-first into a wall.

But I agree...little bit of a stretch to claim it's advocating violence against women.

The pro-life folks got Planned Parenthood to swing at a pitch in the dirt. They got them so exercised over a tiny commerical, the pro-choice people gave the pro-life people more press than they could have dreamed of.

The smart move would have been to ignore it.
