Ryan Gomes on the Trade Block?

The Minnesota Timberwolves need to make an important decision on Ryan Gomes by June 30. If they waive him by then he'll get about $1 million for the next three seasons. If they keep him, the contract becomes fully guaranteed.

Could the unique contract make it likely that the Timberwolves will try to trade him now, or sometime around the NBA draft?

"I don't think it makes him any more or less likely," David Kahn told the Star Tribune. "We have a lot of decisions to make at the end of the season. That will be the appropriate time to make them."

"There's always a possibility you can get moved this time of year," Gomes said. "Of course, I'd love to stay here. Of course, I'd love to have that security instead of having to play for a contract every year. I would rather not have to go through all that. There are decisions that have to be made. I just take it as it goes."
