Yea I think this is being discussed in the other Butler thread. But it might deserve it's own. The Knicks are getting lured in with McGrady and the dice they can roll with him. What I don't understand is why Washington would take Harrington for Butler....seems like a downgrade to me.

Only one of the players you mentioned has an expiring contract.

That and the fact that KP is so passive at the trade deadline, I see no reason to think we would ever get in on something like this

Hell of a deal for Houston if they can pull that one off, get an All-Star caliber player and have a viable center now. T-Mac to NY would be a typical Knicks move. And the Wiz... who the hell knows.

    link?

I know there have been opportunities that have been passed up.. but honestly not one of us is behind the scenes.. and we dont know why it wasnt done. Do you know for a fact that Paul Allen didnt just decide to save Raef's money? I am part of the camp where if I honestly dont know shit about what happened, I dont say shit about what happened/didnt happen.

Like there would be a link for that. Comon man. It's more intuition than anything else.

I know there isnt a link for that. But someone cant honestly tell me that a GM is scared to make a deal, when they honestly have no idea. Its not ultimately up to the GM to pull the trigger it still has to be run by someone higher up.

It is rare that Paul Allen intervenes, but he does, I will give you that. But IMO, there have been too many trade pieces available to us, and players available, only to go somewhere else for what I consider peanuts. The big one being the RLEC, and the big nothing that happened with it, when there were cleary valuable players available at the time.

It all comes down to opinion. You may not believe anything was on the table, and KP is doing a good job. But I believe there are enough clues on the table to show the ball has been dropped many times. It doesn't matter. We have the hand we are dealt, and all I can ask for is for the GM to learn from his experience, and move on.

I hope KP can fuck with Morey again and steal Butler + Haywood.

I don't want Houston getting better.

Yea well think about this. What if yao comes back healthy next year?

The one question I do have though is, they have Battier. They have Ariza. Do they really need another SF? Or are they going to play him at SG?

I was thinking more in the short term. The upgrade in talent would be pretty significant.

I agree that Mr Allen doesnt intervene much.. but with this one I could see it happening. One thing rich people Hate is losing money. I could see it happening.. but like I said, I just dont know.
