    On American soil.

The people of the Cheyenne River Sioux were without power for two weeks. Various tribes sent crews to work on various projects on this reservation.

The first company to help with fuel and heating? Citgo energy. Hugo Chavez's heating oil program in Valenzuela.

Link? I don't really understand what happened that made it a crisis.

"Unsafe driving conditions" is a crisis?

It was an ice storm that took out the reservations power poles. 3,000+ of them. On top of that, the water pipes broke. What compounds all of this is the fact that this is one of the poorest places in North America. People have been / were without heat for 2+ weeks.

It's a brutal situation for them, but I'm not sure I'd call it a "crisis".
So nice of our government to ignore them. Hopefully they'll get the help they need soon.

I notice Oberman is quick to not place any blame on Obama.

Now, to be sure, I do not place any blame on Obama, but for a journalist who places blame to Bush and republicans for nearly every single malady known to mankind, he is quite generous to Obama.

There's a word for it- hypoctite.

Now, as to the indians in SD, I do agree with him in that all too often we ignore our own countrymen and focus on those outside our borders. It's a shame.

I feel like it was rightly "overshadowed" by the Haiti crisis...

Reservations are always ignored, nothing new here.

I realize this is in poor taste/and or terribly timed, but it struck me as hilarious that a politician would be named "Joseph Brings Plenty..."

On a serious note, where can I contribute?
