One thing to think about is that, if any "lopsided" trades go through, some teams might be forced to waive players they receive. There might also be some buyouts if players can't be traded (McGrady, for example). So if, as seems very likely, the Blazers don't trade, there might be a veteran big man available. Any thoughts? (Are there any veteran big men already available? Has Dikembe Mutombo recovered? Is PJ Brown still out there? Does Portland still have an extra injury exception (a la the one we used on Anthony Tolliver) or has that expired?
I had a fleeting thought of Dikembe Mutombo the other day as well... I know it's probably not realistic, but it would be cool. Any buyouts/waiver wire type things would have to be accompanied by another move of some sort to free up a roster spot, though.
