Were the Blazers playing a lot better ball when Monty was on the sidelines

    Yep they were. But I am unsure if it was because of Monty being the guy communicating or if it was due to the fact that the rotation was shortened by injury, and forced Nate to do some things he normally would not have.

    Players who play together a lot get used to playing with each other. When you are jerked in and out of the game and have to play with different players all the time, it fucks up team chemistry.

    The best scenarios IMO are where you have 5 starters and 3 versatile guys to play all the bench minutes. That way everybody who plays is happy with their minutes, and used to playing with their core unit. A few starters are on the floor at all times for stability.

    I think the better question is was roy healthy when monty was being the coach.
