Awesome. So why is it other teams can trade complete scrubs, but we HAVE to give up someone like Rudy. Of course I would give Rudy up, but logic makes no sense anymore in trade talks involving us and other teams.

This is exactly why he should not be our GM anymore. Couldn't do anything with Raef's contract. Loves everyone to much. Doesn't want to piss off Roy. I hate to say it, but we could be stuck in mediocrity for many years (as in one and done in the playoffs or maybe get into the second round every now and then) unless of course Oden can stay healthy and be what we all thought he would be. It doesn't help that you have one young guy in Rudy who will want to play somewhere else because he will always be a backup here, another guy in Bayless, who may or may not be a good fit next to Roy and will also want to play somewhere else, and of course King Batum, who is just as inconsistent as Bayless and Rudy yet is looked at as a God by most Blazer fans. Great potential guys, but possibly not the best fits and one in Batum who has looked alright since his return. They may never pan out other than just average role players and we need a second guy, not role players.

 

KP just gets cold feet when it's not the off-season. It's obviously not his comfort zone. Also factor in his buddy-buddy relationship with each player on the roster.

Drew Gooden, at this point, yes. Howard was a little bit of a reach with that comment, but certainly we can off a better deal for a guy who can be our second star/player next to Roy and a center for this year. However, many things stop this from happening: Don't want to trade one of Rudy/Batum/Bayless and we stunt the "great potential" of King Batum. Whether you agree with trading for Butler or not is one thing, but this team needs a second star, and hoping our young guys to be that may cause just as much harm as trading for someone like Butler who is having a down year.

I'll get angry with Pritchard when there's a sweetheart deal that goes down, that we were in the running for and that we declined because we were too attached to clearly inferior players. Until then, it's just manufactured anger by the already dyspeptic.

 

Considerign he sat on his ass with one of the more sought after contracts in Raef's last year, I would say yes, he does suck. Sorry you don't see it that way, but I personally do.

The two deals we knew we passed on for RLEC were for Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson. I'll file those two near-misses under "therefore but the grace of God go I".
