    comments from last nights game...

Russell WestbrookPG | Oklahoma City Thunder
    A+
He will be playing in the varsity game on Sundays maybe as early as next season. He had an opportunity to show his scoring ability without having to worry about feeding a certain MVP candidate (Kevin Durant) as he does every night during the season. This guy has the whole package.

(while LA cant even get consideration and Oden is in a cast by the all star game usually)

James HardenG | Oklahoma City Thunder
    A-
He looks like he is just a guy coming off the bench to look for his own offense, but Harden has a nice well-rounded game. He scores easily and fills it up without forcing anything. Very impressive.

    (Rudy isnt even close)

Ric Bucher said it last year... the Blazers have a nice future but Id take OKC long term. Wow was he right. YOu cant even argue we have a center and they don't.... ours never plays anyway. On paper he looks great though. the only hope is tehy lose some players out of the core like Green or Harden when extensions roll around. I cant see them paying all 4 max deals.

Me neither. Because neither is close to being a max player.

OKC plays much better team defense than the Blazers. Westbrook is a solid scorer, but I'm not blown away by his court vision and passing.

If they trade for a big man before they have to shell out for the contract extensions for Durant/Westbrook/Green, then I think they are going to be a better squad. Right now I'm not too scared of their post game.

Sucks you'll be leaving us to join a new bandwagon. I shall warn the Thunder fans.

Did you watch the sophmore/rook game? Because if you did you wouldn't be impressed with westbrook or hardens play at all. Westbrook got the ball and what did he do? He just ran to the basketball to lay it in with who there to stop him? Yea noone EVER was there to contest his shot. Harden got to shoot threes all day long with no one there to say anything.
OKC is what we were two years ago, a team thats getting a lot of praise because they are overachieving. They will be a strong team in the west for as long as they keep Durant. They have some nice talent to develop but for some reason maxim you have a way of seeing the dark side of the blazers and the bright side of other teams. Westbrook a all star next year? Who is he gonna get the nod over? Steve nash, CP3, Mr carries Utah on his shoulders, Roy, Kobe? The only way he will get into the allstar game, a game that a Utah gaurd who has played hands and shoulders above anything westbrook is capable of, is threw the fan vote, and the fans will vote in Arron brooks before westbrook.
I'm not here to knock OKC I like the team, but the praise they are getting is a lot like the praise we got 2 years ago when we were playing a lot better then people thought we were and it looked like we might h ave a shot to contend with the 8th spot in the west.
