Sen. Bayh retires?

Sucks to be an elected Democrat these days.

 

Probably wouldn't be that bad if you could differentiate yourself based on your votes, your stands, etc. With everyone seemingly in lock-step with their party (rather than their constituency) it sucks to be an incumbent, but at least the GOP are saying that they're fighting what the majority-holders are doing, though they're doing it in lock-step.

I have no idea who Ms. Wingnut is. But it sounds as if she could be challenging Patty Murray's spot as "100th Smartest Senator"

Haven't more Republicans retired this year than Democrats?

 

One switched parties (Specter), I don't know of any others who are retiring.

 

3 D's are retiring in the senate, and 5 R's are. In the house, it's 13 D's and 18 R's.
