hes out. targets friday per j quick Roy practiced on Monday -- the first time he has completed a full-contact workout since Jan. 19 in Philadelphia -- but said afterward that he felt tightness at times. That feeling caused him to say he was "doubtful" he would play tonight. He said a "more realistic" return would be the Blazers' next game, Friday at home against Boston. Roy said he will make a final determination after the team's morning shootaround, or perhaps after a workout at the Rose Garden an hour before the game. "How I feel tomorrow will play a factor, but even then, I still think we will look toward Friday as a more of a real date of when I can play," Roy said. He hasn't played since. The Blazers are 6-8 during the time he has missed because of the hamstring. "I felt OK today, but again, I don't feel like I was totally back to where I want to be," Roy said Monday. "What I'm trying to judge now is what I can tolerate."
You hold him out as long as is necessary. We'll just have to find a way to hold down the fort until he returns. You don't mess with a hammy or that injury will linger.
