UFC 100 tops PPV in 2009, UFC dominates overall

    The UFC reportedly did 8-million PPV buys in 2009 overall. You don't have to be a math wiz to figure out that means a lot of PPV revenue for MMA's juggernaut promotion. Distributors take up to 50% of the revenue from PPV, leaving the UFC with $50 x 8,000,000 = $400,000,000 * 50% = $200,000,000 in PPV revenue on the year... staggering. Obviously this doesn't include advertising, sponsorships, merchandise, and the plethora of other revenue streams the UFC has created.
    You have to imagine a Mayweather/Pacquiao PPV would've blown the doors off PPV records but it seems that will never come to fruition.

    A little surprising to see Wrestlemania at the bottom of the list with about 1/3 the buys of UFC 100.
