He says: Also, Shannon Brown is a some sort of asset. I don’t dislike him, but jeez. I also didn’t like the idea we might compromise in talks with the Lakers on Kurt and take on Vujacic. Al Jefferson or Amare for Deng is definitely worth considering in my book. Supposedly the Wolves offered Al for Danny Granger, so maybe this is a possibility. Think I’d bite, but they still need another deal to make the cap situation work for next year. I’m not seeing lots of love for Kurt or Salmons out there.
Re: McGraw: Bulls trying to get Al Jefferson Jefferson is getting the kind of reputation that he's good at putting up good numbers on bad teams.
Re: McGraw: Bulls trying to get Al Jefferson I think Shannon Brown is an asset in that Bulls could at least point to him and say they got something besides cap space. He is ...(wait for it)...a slam dunk participant. And his contract ain't that much bigger than the standard cap hold for a minimum contract. But, yea, wouldn't make much sense to say "no way" to expiring contracts but "yes" to expiring + Brown.
Re: McGraw: Bulls trying to get Al Jefferson There aren't even mentions of Salmons in trade rumors anymore. Teams will take Hinrich, but the bulls don't have any leverage to get anything back except expirings. It's interesting that Tyrus seems to be generating the most interest.
Re: McGraw: Bulls trying to get Al Jefferson Tyrus is an expiring contract and a guy who's young enough that maybe he might reach the potential he supposedly has. For any team that takes him, they get a free look for about 30 games and can renounce him. What's not to like about trading for him?
Re: McGraw: Bulls trying to get Al Jefferson. Update: Wolves turn down Deng+Thomas fo Via McGraw it appears we're not getting Harrington.
