Hope they can rescue him alive. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hfyMBGc9TBNun5ffDudvZ4SgkyVgD9DT2CP01
Incredible hike/climb. I've done it a few times. I know right where that guy fell from. Amazing views.
I can't imagine what he's going through right now...just imagine: you're stuck in a volcano, it's snowy, pitch black and cold, and you're all by yourself. I hope the rescue workers did at least something to help him cope tonight, like dropping supplies, reassuring his rescue will come tomorrow, etc.
I've snow-camped a lot and it's a blast! That's pretty much what one would expect climbing mountains in February. Unless he's injured, I really don't see a problem. He can climb out in the morning.
He is injured and is on a 70 degree slope. He's 53, it's raining and the temp is going to be around freezing.
Well, now that the Camby deal is off, might as well leave him there. He won't want to live anyway. barfo
It sounds like he didn't make it. http://www.oregonlive.com/news/index.ssf/2010/02/navy_helicopter_recovers_body.html
