Will Camby's presence stunt Greg's growth?

If Camby plays well this season and we do well in the playoffs, I would assume that we'd start Camby at the start at the beginning of next season. Will this hold Oden back in that he won't get the minutes he needs to grow as a player?

OF COURSE NOT. It will only HELP. Just like Howard has done for JP and DC. Just like Miller has done with Bayless and even Roy. Veterans help youngsters. Especially class vets like we have.

But first and foremost, Oden needs to stay on the court to start at all. Next year if we have Camby, I start him over Oden for sure.

 

LOL. If anything having a guy who understands the team game and help defense it will only help Greg.

 

If Greg is healthy, he will start. Pretty simple.

He hasn't been more valuable, since he plays fewer minutes, but the efficiency numbers suggest that he's a better player when he's on the court.

 

Um, dude. News flash. He is not going to be a superstar center. The sooner you get over that, the better you will be. If he has a career similar to Camby, that should be considered a fantastic career.

Numbers suggest a lot of things. But stats and numbers don't mean shit when you are not on the court.
