The rockets are either dealing with knicks or bulls.

If they choose the knicks... the deal would be mcgrady for hill, jeffries

If they Choose the bulls, thomas, hinrich, salmons, miller

thats what berger on cbs is saying.

If they do trade #2... goodnight to our playoff chances. they are our main concern

The Knicks deal also has Al Harrington in there. He's a pretty good player, also.

That is an awful lot of players to trade for a broken down volume shooter.

CHI and NYK are harboring dreams of >32M in cap space for 2 superduperstars. McGrady's deal allows them to give decent players with contracts beyond this year up so they have space. Would you rather have Hinrich and Salmons next september or a chance (maybe 50%, maybe 20%) that you can have Wade and Bosh?

4 new guys can be disruptive for 20 games. They have had great chemistry so far this year. Long term it would be beneficial to them though.

Wade and Bosh are not going to want to go from one bad team to another. That's the exact same logic that folks think Lebron will come to NY for. Why the fuck would he want to go play with that team, and start all over again? I don't see a stripped out Chicago team, or NY with any combination of their current players, as a very enticing destination for either of those players.

It's a bad team if you have one star and no one else. It's something different if you have 2 studs. Look at what LA's been able to do. I guarantee you Wade thinks he's better than K*be and Bosh thinks he's better than Gasol. Look at what Boston was able to do. They went from worst to first by bringing in 2 stars that aren't even at the Bosh-Wade level to go with Pierce and scrubs.

Rose/Wade/Deng/Bosh/Noah would be pretty decent, no?

Obviously, they think there's a chance. Even 1%. Would you rather have Hinrich and Salmons or a 1% chance of the Rose/Wade/Deng/Bosh/Noah lineup? Would it take a 5% chance? 20%? 50%?
