Larry Johnson Still Not Happy 4th May, 2006 - 10:05 pm AP - Larry Johnson made the Pro Bowl last season, but remains far from content. "No, I'm never happy," the running back said Thursday. "When I feel like I'm successful in my own right, I will never be happy with anything, period. I haven't started one full season yet. I haven't gotten this team to a Super Bowl. As far as my career, it's still starting off late, I feel. So I can't overall be happy about where I'm at right now, 'cause like I said, I feel like I'm still playing catch-up." [READ] I thought he'd be pissed for all the wrong reasons but it's completly opposite. I like guys like this.

Idk why he has to have that attitude about himself. He's on his way to being top 5 running backs in the NFL. Priest Holmes isnt gonna last to much longer, so in my eyes Johnson is Chiefs future. He rushed for 1,500+ and 20 tuchdowns and doesnt feel successful, geez

He's never satisfied with himself. He just pushes harder and harder. So, this isn't a bad thing, its actually great.

How is Larry Johnson on his way to becoming one of the best top 5 backs? He is already easily a top 5 back, he ran for almost 2000 yards in half a season, if thats not top 5 then what is? he's probably the best back in the league, not just top 5.

^I agree. He is making a name for himself. He had a breakout season last year after never seeing playing time in previous years. What a great story Larry Johnson is.

He's a very talented back but any RB with good talent can run for 1,600 yards in that offense.

I know Larry Johnson is a very good back but anyone playing in Kansas City with that great line could put up monster numbers, and almost every first round runningback puts up amazing numbers in college, look at DeAngelo Williams for example.

DeAngelo will be a very good RB in my opinion, I wouldnt be surprised to see him win Rookie of the year. Thats going to be dangerous backfield with him and DeShaun Foster in Carolina, I think he will be have a great impact immediatly.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ May 10 2006, 04:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I know Larry Johnson is a very good back but anyone playing in Kansas City with that great line could put up monster numbers, and almost every first round runningback puts up amazing numbers in college, look at DeAngelo Williams for example.</div>Youre right about the big numbers in college point, but Penn State wasnt considered a very good team at the time and he still accomplished alot. I think alot of RB's could have success behind a line like that of KC's, but I also think that Larry Johnson could be succesfull in other systems as well, I like him alot and Im glad he has gotten the oppurtunity with the Chiefs to play meaningful minutes although it meant Holmes getting hurt. That should be a very dangerous backfield and I expect him to continue to improve into one of the best backs in the league..

He would be a very good RB on every team but his numbers are inflated with the Chiefs because they have the best line in the NFL.

I agree that his numbers are boosted because of that line and that it eased his adjustment into the league and allowed him to gain some confidence. I think over time he would have eventually put up good numbers as well, but like you said, the line definatly has to be credited for his success, as with any good running game..

It's his time now. I like his attitude, I like his game. Larry Johnson should be the Chiefs starter and leader next year

Their is no way he's playing second fiddle to Holmes after the damage he inflicted last year.
