Bowie and Olden over Durant and Jordon.

thats the difference between 10 -12 championships in portland

i cant even watch durant.... its so upsetting. you cannot tell me that roy, la, and durant wouldnt win 5 titles at least.

Well, I dunno, the Pistons took Darko Milicic over Wade, Bosh and Carmelo ... but yeah, in hindsight the Oden and Bowie picks look kind of terrible due to their fragility and their counterparts' emergence.

Laru Martin was a worse pick them either Bowie or Oden. If you take into account of passing on Jordan of coarse the Bowie pick is worse. Right now it is looking bad for the Oden pick but there is still a chance he will be a good NBA center.

If Durant doesn't win a single championship, do you still rate it as one of the worst draft picks ever?

Never heard of this Jordon guy.

Darko has to be at the top. The fact that he didn't struggle with health problems (which no one could foresee with Oden) makes him an even bigger bust, not to mention he was hyped up before the draft and the Pistons took him over 3 franchise players.

Given the disappointment of the Blazers, it's probably best to find another team, Rudy. We'll miss you, but somehow we'll soldier on.

LaRue Martin was probably the worst, as the Blazers drafted the guy based on media reputation, and not actually scouting the guy. Bowie over Jordan/Barkly is a close second. Oden was at least defensible at the time.

Well if that is how you measure a good draft pick then we should have drafted The Stache, he has a ring and Roy and LMA don't.

If you believe that, you are dumber than I thought you were. Roy and Durant would share the same kind of chemistry a Melo, Iverson shared. A Mourning and L. Johnson shared. Both terrific players but weren't going to win anything big on the same team. Both Roy and Durant need the ball in their hands to be effective. They both need to shoot be effective. There was not enough room on this roster for both. Eventually, one of them would have had to be moved if KP indeed drafted Durant.

Its the Butterfly effect, if the Pistons woulda drafted anyone but Darko, would we picked up Sheed? Would Prince be in to reject Reggie?...

Call me crazy but having D-Wade wouldn't even make you think about Rasheed or Prince.

I don't think BRoy and Durant would have a problem with sharing the ball. BRoy can be extremely unselfish when we don't need him to carry the team. With Durant, he wouldn't have to carry the team. It doesn't really matter either way but to say that they would never be able to play with each other seems a bit much.

BFD. Chuck Nevit also has more championships than Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Karl Malone, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Allen Iverson, Dirk Nowitski and Steve Nash combined.

What exactly did Darko do to EARN that ring? He scores 48 points that season - 49 if you count the play-offs.

Being able to play with each other and winning championships is another thing. You're best bet at the time was Roy and Oden playing with each other and winning titles.
