Well, it's a 'Mexicanish sounding name. I guess that's to their credit.

My general rule of thumb is, in these types of situations, the only thing that really matters is that the name ends in ez.

If Sergio can't make it in this league playing for Paul Westphal and Mike D'Antoni, then he can't make it in this league. Best of luck to him.

What was your opinion of Sergio Rodriguez when he was in Portland. I was actually very impressed with him in his debut - he played unselfishly and played solid defense. Looks like he has a nice upside too considering he's only 23. Looks like shooting is an issue for him, though.

Shooting and defense are not his strong suit. He is all about passing. Unfortunately, teams know that the guy can't score so they back off him and make him shoot.

He is great in the open floor and sets his teammates up nicely. Not a good defender, but who is. No jumper to speak of, should be nice in D'antoni's offense.

I've never understood that kind of thinking. who was the PG who ran D'antoni's offense? One of the best shooting PG's ever.

I just meant pushing the tempo and creating in the open court. If Serg has any strengths, it's that.

Sergio can't score from anywhere. Horrible at finishing at the rim. He also can't defend a chair.

But he can pass and find the open man with ease.
