Comes back and plays against us or comes back and re-signs with us?

YEp. And last season, he proved that he could lead a team to a 54-28 season. Then we brought Andre Miller in and it fucked everything up.

They also have one of the best PGs in the league.

    Maybe it's McMillan's offensive pace?

Camby is averaging almost 6 points less per game in Portland. It shows how great Roy is for averaging over 20 points in this piece of shit system.

I would agree with your assumption. The clippers are having Blake race up the court to quickly find the open shooter. More run-n'-gun that half court offense.

Evens is pretty good but one of the best point guards in the league? Not yet. If he was I believe his team would have a better record then they currently do. His defense is not rated very high either which might explain why Blake did so well against him.

Could be, but Andre only had 4 points and 3 assists when the Blazers played the Kings in December. Roy had 10 assists to go with 25 points that game. Blake is off to a decent start, and the Blazers have dropped 2 home games in a row. Bayless needs to get his act together and start playing ball. Instead of playing more free, he seems to be playing tighter withoug Blake behind him. A few more bad games, and I'd like to see what Mills could do in 10-15 minutes.

Yep, starting Andre over Blake is the only difference between those two teams. I'm sure the all of the injuries (including the one to Steve Blake) had nothing to do with our performance relative to last season. Good point.

    Because he wasn't very good.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
You know things have gotten to an interesting point around here when some are pining for the "Steve Blake era."

Were those the good old days? If so, we're in trouble.

I can't ever recall a Chris Paul or Deron Williams tracking thread, so I find this immensely amusing.

Busy night. I'm keeping current on this Blake thread, on the Outlaw thread, while watching the Clipper game.

Blake just got his first points of the game, Lawler says, as I typed the sentence above.

Blake goes into the paint, turns the corner, muscles it through the trees for a contested layup. Ralph Lawler praising him for running to the inbounder, who needed help. Blake anticipated that he wouldn't have a receiver available, so he ran to him from way out, and Blake was right, no one else was around. OOUTLAW JUST SCORED ON AN ASSIST FROM BLAKE as I typed the last sentence.

Blake and Outlaw have been out for a few minutes. Blake, 7 assists in 12 minutes. His teammate at PG Baron Davis has 8 assists in 24 minutes. Points, Blake 2, Davis 6. Can Blake pull a Sergio and become the starter? Is Baron the next Duhon?

At the halftime short interview, Coach Kim Hughes said the new guys are playing well. He said Outlaw needs more rebounds. So in the 2nd half Outlaw got his first one of the game.

Blake is back in, just heard him say it as I typed that.
Correction: He's not in. I don't see a white Clipper on the floor other than Kaman and Baron's in. One minute left and the Clippers lead by 2.

Clips beat Charlotte and Larry Brown by 4. Blake comes in with 15 seconds left, up 3, receives a difficult inbounds, gets himself covered well by the defender, pretends to have an impossible dribble while doing a 360, finally succeeds in getting the whistle. What an actor.

Misses the 1st FT, Lawler and his colorman are laughing about last season when they remember Blake missing 4 FTs to give Clippers the victory, Blake then makes his 2nd FT. Game over, Baron and teammates laughing to Blake about that game. Apparently everyone there remembers this. I don't. Blake a little embarrassed about it.

In efficiency points per minute, Blake and Outlaw are near the top for both teams. Post-game analyst says the 3 new guys including Gooden gave team energy so when starters returned they didn't have to clean up the usual mess caused by the subs. Now Lawler and colorman. Colorman praises Gooden, and Outlaw's outside jump shot. They are just going on and on about the new guys. Say team has really improved, is deep.
