I do. It was the only game I saw the Blazers lose last season (of the 13 I attended). He missed 4 of 5 FTs in the final 30 sec of regulation and gave up a game-tying buzzer beating 3 by Baron to send the game into over time. The Blazers ended up losing in double OT.

Times wants more, Washington Desk says no news, go to me. Well, Travis was interviewed after the game and in his oft-shy countenance and a lot of uhhs said that the team will be better now with the new players. Interviewer called him a kid a couple of times, no wonder.

Henry Luce on the line, no news tonight, they're going to use Boob's blurb. Claire Luce taking dictation.

(That's an inside joke--my mother jlprk wrote for Time when the Luces owned it.)

    Hello darkness, my old friend
A lot of Battier's "no stats contribution" is defensive. I don't think that Blake provides a lot of defensive value.

Does Blake have "intangibles" that make his team better? Maybe. No idea, really. My default is always "no," but it's not impossible.

It is this simple. If you want to keep arguing for Steve Blake, have at it. It's your basketball IQ rep on the line, not mine. I know we are going to take lumps with the young guards in. But it in the end, the team will be much stronger for it. Some folks will have the fortitude for it, and some will not.

Fisher's game doesn't rely on athleticism. Or skill. So I think he can play at any age. :devilwink:

Huh? I just found an article that brought up Blake and didn't want to start a new thread. I love the Camby trade.

Getting rid of Blake and Outlaw was an excellent move by the front office.
Cleared the logjam a little and removed average pieces that were not long term answers, freeing up time to develop potential long term solutions for the roster. (Rudy, Bayless, Batum)
Anyone who wishes they were still here is pining for mediocrity.

This move by the front office has restored my faith in them.

    Next > Move Webster.

What it does is allow us to actually see if the young talent on the team is worth keeping around. There's no logjam, so there's no excuse.

Yet Outlaw had 11 points/8 boards.

It's been two weeks. Can we just let these threads die?

Is anyone surprised that those who said KP MUST MAKE A DEAL NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are screaming that the deal sucks? Of course, had he not made the deal, they'd be saying Blake and Outlaw suck.

It's like trying to explain to a teabagger that their taxes have gone down. Not living in the reality based world.
